CFL EASTERN FINAL

HAMILTON TIGER-CATS AT WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS
Sportsbetting.ag Line: Bombers -3, Over/Under 50.5

It’s the end of an era For the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they play host to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the final game ever in Canad Inns Stadium. The Eastern representative for the Grey Cup will be determined Sunday as the Bombers look to shut their barn down in style.

After a first round bye Winnipeg will be fielding a healthy, well-rested team which includes starting QB Buck Pierce back at the controls. The Bombers will be leaving it all on the field Sunday and the sold out crowd will be a huge motivational factor. The cold weather is also expected to play a role in the outcome and the total is down from an opening number of 51, which is rare for a playoff game.

The Ti-Cats are coming off a 52-44 win against Montreal in what was the highest scoring playoff game in CFL history but we are expecting a much different flow to this contest. Winnipeg’s defense has been the main factor in the Bombers’ success thus far and the home team will need another big performance vs. Kevin Glenn and the Hamilton offense.

The Blue and Gold won all three meetings this season straight-up (2-1 ATS) and the key to victory Sunday could be in winning the turnover battle. Glenn threw at least one pick in each of the regular season losses to Winnipeg and the former Bomber had a 19-to-17 ratio of touchdowns to interceptions this season, the second worst of his eight-year career. Glenn has been known to fold under pressure in the postseason and he’s actually thrown more interceptions (8) than touchdowns (7).

CFL PICKS
Winnipeg is undefeated this year when winning the turnover battle and factor in the weather, home crowd and most importantly, the defense, and we’re booking Winnipeg a ticket to next weekend’s Grey Cup.
Pick: Take the Blue Bombers
