Hall of Fame entries for 2012 and updated odds to win this year’s World Series

In 1996, Larkin became the first shortstop to have 30 homers and 30 steals in a season
Barry Larkin received 86-percent of the votes Monday, earning the Cincinnati Reds shortstop entry into baseball’s Hall of Fame.
It was Larkin’s third time on the ballot and after falling short of the mandatory 75-percent votes needed in 2010, he was a clear choice this season from the Baseball Writers of America (495 votes).
The late Ron Santo will also be admitted this season and Jack Morris (67-percent), Jeff Bagwell (56-percent), Lee Smith (51-percent) and Alan Trammell (37-percent) were the next highest vote getters.
Larkin’s 134-vote jump was the largest one-year move by any player in the modern voting system and the Reds, who finished last season 17 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, will need a similar turnaround for a chance at this year’s postseason.
Cincinnati is tied for 12th among Major League teams listed at Sportsbetting.com and here is the complete rundown, starting with the Phillies.
