I, as well as others, hope to see a return, especially for the NFL regular season.

At first glance of the NFL season, the biggest story is the distraction of the NFC, that is the NO Saints.

Suspensions have been sprinkled through the defense due to bounty gate, along with a significant suspension to HC Sean Payton.

The Panthers have the most exciting QB since Michael Vick's days in ATL. Only difference is Newton can actually throw with accuracy.

Carolina has a very potent offense with the emergence of Newton. They also have a very young defense, packed with studs on the D-line, and linebacker corps.

With ATL's success hovering, and NO's stock dipping, the Panthers price to win the division is tough to avoid.

The KC chiefs are another team that was bitten by injuries, have a young nucleus, and play in a winnable division.

Charles is back and healthy, Bowe and Baldwin are the most dangerous young pair of wideouts, Matt Cassell has a great TE to toss to as well, pair that with a good young defense, and the Chiefs are primed for a solid season under Romeo Crennel.

Following the Coaching change last season, the Chiefs were a much different team on defense, and with a healthy O, the chiefs are a great value pick to win the AFC West

The big value pick to take the SB has come and gone, with the Bears being a 25-1 to take home the Lombardi trophy, but the public has hammered this pick all offseason, and the Bears are now 16-1.

The much safer play is to take the Bears to win the NFC @ 10-1.

Chicago has stars at very key positions sprinkled through their lineup. Julius Peppers, Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, are all shoe ins for the pro bowl, while the secondary is solid, and looking to improve with experience. On the opposite side of the ball, the Bears have a top 10 QB in Jay Cutler, a premier WR in Brandon Marshall, a Dynamite RB in Forte (leaf league in yards from scrimmage before injury), and the depth on both sides of the ball to make some noise.

The AFC South has turned into one of the weakest divisions in the NFL last season with the tanking of the Indianapolis Colts, the Titans' loss of Chris Johnson's impact, and the overall lack of talent in Jacksonville.

This offseason, the run away favourite to win the division, the Texans, decided that they couldnt afford the elite pass rushing Mario Williams, and their stud MLB Demaco Ryans. The loss of these two deadly defensive juggernauts, will guaranteed sink the leagues 2nd overall defense to the middle of the pack.

Houston's offense is easily the best out of the 4 teams, but one injury can change that in a hurry. Matt Schaub missed the bulk of the back half last year, and Andre Johnson continues to hurt himself while jogging routes during plays. One injury will happen, and if one of these guys go down, the Texans become very beatable, even by their weak divisional opponents.

The Titans are +450 to win this division. They feature the fastest man in the NFL, and a man who broke the 2000 yards rushing mark 2 years ago. With his off field troubles well behind him, and an off year in the books, I like CJ2K to bounce back to his elite form. Jake Locker should win the QB battle early on (hopefully before the end of the pre season).

It's definitely a stretch, but 9 wins will probably win this division this year, and when the total is this low, upsets happen all of the time.
