There are four games lined up on tonight’s NHL scoreboard starting with the Dallas Stars at Buffalo Sabres

NHL PICKS – STARS AT SABRES
Dallas lost 4-1 at home to Phoenix Tuesday but cruised to an easy 4-2 victory last night against Western Conference cellar dweller, Columbus. Tonight marks their third game in four nights and the Stars have not performed well in a back-to-back, earning just one point in nine tries (0-8-1).
Buffalo is coming off a 6-0 win against Boston two nights ago and expects to have Thomas Vanek (upper body) back in the lineup after a three-game absence. The Sabres (-160) are a heavy favorite at Sportsbetting.com but with Ryan Miller in net, look for Buffalo to grab two much needed points.
Pick: Take the Sabres -1.5 (+190)
DUCKS vs. RED WINGS
It’s been a nice turnaround for the Ducks under Bruce Boudreau and in their past 15; Anaheim has gained 24 of a possible 30 points (11-2-2). It has them within 10 points of eighth in the West but what happens on this eight-game road trip starting tonight in Detroit could make or break their playoff chances.
Detroit is looking to extend an 18-game home winning streak but will rely on backup goaltender Joey MacDonald. Starter Jimmy Howard, who was in net for all but one of those wins, is out with a broken finger.
The Ducks have not won in Detroit since May, 2009 but as they look to start this trip off right, Anaheim should be a lot for the Wings to handle.
Pick: Take the Ducks (+160)
