The ACC Championship game features two teams that have already met this year, the Virginia Tech Hokies and Clemson Tigers

VIRGINIA TECH AT CLEMSON

These teams met for the first time in four years on October 1 and Clemson walked away with a 23-3 win but since then, these teams have headed in opposite directions. The Hokies haven’t lost, going 7-0 SU and 3-4 ATS, while the Tigers have lost three of their previous four games.

This is a great revenge spot for the Hokies — given the rare opportunity to avenge their only loss, within the same season. Since their loss, they have vastly improved at both the quarterback and running back spots with Thomas and Wilson respectively. Thomas has only thrown two interceptions since October 1 and Wilson hasn’t lost a fumble in the same timeframe.

Clemson is struggling. They have looked sloppy since their win over the Hokies with penalties and dropped passes killing them. It may also be that opposing defensive coordinators have caught up to the Tigers newly installed offense.  Word is out that if you can pressure Boyd, you can force him into mistakes.

The line opened at Virginia Tech -7, which is where it currently sits. You can probably ascertain from my synopsis that I am bullish on Tech and I’m willing to lay the points.
